Front of house is EXCEPTIONAL in every way. I have been staying at Bluebird for several years now (visit 2-3 times/yr) and each visit my booking is treated like a royal arrival. I usually ask to be placed upstairs as I am a very light sleeper - this is arranged each time and with a smile. Appreciate the warmth and welcoming atmosphere. The lobby/main house has an inviting den by a fireplace thats reminiscent of trips to Austria. Just lovely. Very clean rooms, not a thing out of place, showers sparkle, beds comfy good lighting options and a microwave if you need to heat up any leftovers from Indigo Moon next door. ;) Will be back around Christmastime! P.s. Harmony village (in between Cambria and Cuycos) is just down the hwy a few miles - the pottery store is a MUST VISIT! Very cool history with Hearst stopping by with guests on his way back to San Simeon Castle back in the 1910/20s! Great pop in for history nerds.

The front desk person was delightful, friendly and fun. The property itself was quaint, yet tidy and well-maintained. I frequent Marriott hotels that are slick and very corporate. This has a very down-home feel which I actually prefer over corporate and there was nothing lacking. Particularly appreciated the hominess of the lobby with the fireplace and sitting area to commune with friends and the wild turkeys in the driveway. I will stay there again on my next visit to Cambria.

Nice idea for an inn to reuse old house as the Reception. Comfortable, with parking in front of the door and a clean room. Has a fridge, office, iron and tea.

Excellent and friendly staff… I’m spacing on her name (oops), I believe Brandy - WONDERFUL personality!! Couldn’t ask for a more welcoming reception. Lots of hospitality and was informed with everything I needed to know about my room and the town. Very helpful. A+ service thank you Ps Linn’s Restaurant just down from the Bluebird has to-die-for homestyle raspberry chocolate cake! Insane. A MUST!

Great location with lots of shops/restaurants within walking distance. Staff is hit or miss. The person who checked us in was surly, but the next morning the woman at the desk was super nice and helpful. The room was large and clean and had fridge and microwave. The bathroom was clean, large and everything looked new.

You must understand that this is a vintage hotel. It's lobby is a throw back to the 60's and the rooms, though updated, are on the smaller side. But we don't go to hang out in our room. We're there to see the sights, shop and go wine tasting. The offer early morning coffee and late night tea and games. There is a fire pit out front that lends itself well to sipping a recent wine purchase. There is also an EV charging station right at the property and as new EV owners, this is a bonus.

We loved the vintage vibe. The indoor lobby fireplace as well as the outdoor fireplace were so cozy on the cold morning and evening. The bed was comfortable, and the complimentary shower shampoo and conditioner was actually quite nice. As new EV car owners, the perk we love now is the charging station on site. The short walk to Redwood Cafe for breakfast was an added bonus.

Such an adorable place! Everything in town was within walking distance: coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, the shuttle to the Christmas Market with the millions of lights. Room 10 with a separate kitchen was spacious and so comfortable. Loved the king bed, and we are ridiculously persnickety about comfortable beds. We would definitely stay at the Bluebird again, hands down.

The hotel is situated in the historic part of Cambria (stunning town), slightly farther from the ocean. The location is fantastic, surrounded by numerous restaurants, a charming bakery, and a few pubs. While the hotel's design follows the typical motel style, it stands out with its vibrant colors, decorations, and well-maintained appearance. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can easily explore the area on foot, but I recommend driving to reach the ocean or Fiscalini Ranch Preserve.

One of the best hotels we stayed in, excellent room with its own private outside seating area, very good facilities and very comfortable bed. Cambia as a location is very good with interesting shops and a proper "old town" America feel. Hotel hosts a free outside firepit gathering for guests in the evening (weather permitting). Would have stayed longer if we had known how good the hotel was. A must stop location if you are driving Hwy 1.
